My Training:
I received my training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York, where I studied over one hundred dietary theories, and practical lifestyle management techniques. I learned innovative coaching methods from some of the world’s top health and wellness experts such as Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. Mark Hyman, Functional Medicine Leader and Director of the Ultra Wellness Center; and Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University among other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.

My training has provided me with knowledge in the fields of holistic nutrition and health coaching and I rely on these skills, the knowledge of different dietary theories, and my own personal experiences, to work with clients and guide them in making lifestyle changes that produce lasting results.

More about myself…
I lost my father to cancer and saw him struggle with this debilitating disease as well as diabetes for many years, and little did I know that years later I would be a caregiver for my mother-in-law whom we lost to cancer a few years ago. I have seen first hand what this terrible disease can do to a person and have wondered like so many of us, is there anything we are doing, or perhaps NOT doing to prevent this?

I’m the proud mother of two kids, a young boy who struggles with food allergies and histamine intolerance, and a young woman who has struggled with an autoimmune condition since she was a teenager. 

As I have seen my kids overcome their symptoms through determination and dedication, my family and I have been able to witness how important lifestyle and nutrition have an impact on our overall health.

Experiencing what these important changes have done for my family and myself, has given me a better outlook and I have learned how important it is to retrain our taste buds so that we can enjoy our meals made from natural whole foods.

I have learned how true health involves every aspect of your life—your diet, relationships, career, exercise, quality of sleep, and how all of this comes together to heal you or to have a negative impact on your health, your weight, and your energy.

Whether you are struggling in one way or another with your weight or your health, be it from a lack of knowledge regarding what foods to eat to maintain a healthy diet, or maybe not knowing how to cook healthier meals, we are here to help.
