Ingredients
- 1 purple yam
- 1/2 Tbsp rosemary
- 1 large purple yam
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbls olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly grease it with oil.
- Peel the purple yams and then cut them into about ΒΌ inch pieces.
- Place the cut yam into a large bowl, and add the rosemary, garlic powder, salt and pepper and the olive oil. Toss the yam until they are all lightly coated with the spices and the oil.
- Place the yam onto the baking sheet in one layer.
- Bake the purple yam in the oven for about 10 minutes, then turn the fries and bake for an additional 10 minutes. The fries will be lightly browned and crispy.
- Allow the yam fries to cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a bowl.
Notes
- You may garnish with cilantro or parsley and serve as a snack or appetizer.
